Use of our Online Shop
We cannot sell alcoholic products to anyone under 18. By using this website shop, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and of legal drinking age in your country of residence. For this reason, we may refuse an order at our discretion and orders may not be transferred from the customer to any other person. You, the buyer, shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided in your order and we will not be obliged to accept an order if all details required are not fully captured.
Payment can be made online by debit or credit card. We accept the following: Mastercard, Visa and Amex. Your payment details will be encrypted to maximise security. Authority will be requested at the time of payment at the checkout. Your account will be automatically be charged for your order once it has been acknowledged. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items. Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd reserves the right to cancel any order received and refund the total value of the order to the cardholder.
All prices are in GBP (Great British Pound). The prices are clearly set out in our website. All prices are expressed inclusive of any V.A.T payable, But exclusive of delivery costs. You will be advised of the delivery cost for your area at the time of the order being accepted. We reserve the right to alter prices of our products at any time without prior notice.
All deliveries are sent by Royal Mail. For UK deliveries please allow 3-5 working days from clearance of funds. Please allow 2-3 days for clearance of funds. We do ask for a little understanding about our Islands location when it comes to delivery times. Now and again there is the chance of poor weather and this has a knock on affect to our mail leaving our Island. From Barra our mail is taken by ferry to Eriskay, our neighbours to the north, from there it is then taken to Benbecula after passing through South Uist. After being Sorted in the Post Office in Benbecula our mail then heads on a flight to Stornoway before it finally hits Inverness to then be distributed to its correct sorting office. So, in total before our mail even lands into a sorting office on the main land it has passed through 5 different Islands. So, when there is cancellations to ferry and flights due to poor weather our mail gets backed up along the way. It doesn't happen often but sometimes it does, it is simply one of the factors we need to take into consideration when living o the edge of the Atlantic.

Returns & Refunds
We do hope that you are happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item because it is faulty or different to those ordered, we aim to make the return process as simple as possible. We must be notified of damaged or faulty goods within 2 days of delivery. We will refund you using the method of payment used to make the purchase. Goods must be returned unopened, sealed and in the original packaging. Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd will refund accepted returns within 30 days of you notifying us about the return. The postage of the return is the responsibility of the purchaser. Liability for loss or damage during transit of goods being returned is the responsibility of the purchaser.
